dreamwork webdesign and TYPO3

TYPO3 is an Open Source Content Managment System with powerful features. Beginners often give up when using the system, because the flexibility and the countless features can make a start difficult. Recently books about TYPO3 have been published and the online documentation is one of the best available on the market. dreamwork webdesign uses TYPO3 since five years and we are very pleased with the creativity it offers.

Helping others

We are not professional web developers, but have gained an extensive knowledge about TYPO3 in the past years in our free time by designing several websites. The TYPO3 community has been very helpful in many ways when we were stuck with a problem in the work process. Usually help can be found on typ3.org or other sites and its not our intension to reinvent things. However, sometimes complete solutions to a feature are hard to find. Our tutorials are written by enthusiasts for beginners and should help to setup a feature with step-by-step instructions, using minimum amount of time.
Its our way of saying THANK YOU to the community.

If you want to use our tutorials...

We encourage you to use our tutorials and hope they will be a help in your work process. You should have a basic understanding of TYPO3 before you start.

There are different ways to build a TYPO3 website. In our case we used the TYPO3 Version 3.8 and the templavoila extension. A good start would be to read thru the futuristic template building (FTB) tutorial on typo3.org to see what wonderful features this new concept offers. Please be aware of this fact that we used TYPO3 Version 3.8 and the TemplaVoila extension when you follow the tutorials as all explanations are based on our own TYPO3-setup.
